Tattoo Daddy

Terms of Use

The rules for using Tattoo Daddy: your account, your content, AI-generated designs, and subscriptions.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to your use of the Tattoo Daddy mobile app and related services. Tattoo Daddy is provided by Kernelics LLP, a company registered in England and Wales under company number OC448443, with its registered address at 27 Old Gloucester Street, London, United Kingdom, WC1N 3AX ("Tattoo Daddy", "we", "us", or "our").

By using Tattoo Daddy, you agree to these Terms. You should also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal information, including the photographs you upload and the AI providers that receive them.

1. Accounts and Eligibility

You can browse the design catalogue without an account. You need an account to generate designs, to save them, and to use try-on. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and may not use another person's account without permission.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Tattoo Daddy. Tattooing a person under 18 is an offence in Great Britain under the Tattooing of Minors Act 1969, unless the tattoo is performed for medical reasons by a qualified medical practitioner, and comparable restrictions apply in many other countries. That medical exception applies to clinicians and does not open the app to anyone younger: Tattoo Daddy is for users aged 18 or over without exception, and try-on additionally sends a photograph of your body to our AI supplier and, through it, to the model that runs the request.

2. Your Content

You keep ownership of what you bring to Tattoo Daddy: your brief, your prompts, and the pictures you upload. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence, for as long as you keep the content in the app, to store it, process it, show it back to you, and pass it to our AI supplier, fal.ai, so we can produce what you asked for. The same licence covers the supporting work described in our Privacy Policy — diagnosing failures, keeping the service secure, preventing abuse and fraud, screening prompts, and the analytics and layout experiments described there. We do not use your content for anything else: we do not publish it, show it to other users, sell it, use it to advertise, or train models of our own with it.

You confirm that you have the right to upload each picture you add, and that any person shown in it has agreed to it being used this way. Do not upload photographs of other people without their agreement, and do not upload photographs of children.

Your designs are private to you. No other user of Tattoo Daddy can see them: there is no feed, no profile, no sharing between users, and no way for anyone else to find your gallery.

The law on who owns AI-generated images is unsettled and differs between countries; in some of them purely machine-generated output may not attract copyright at all. As between you and us, we do not claim ownership of the designs you generate, and you may use them, including to have them tattooed. We cannot promise that a design is unique: another user writing a similar brief may receive something similar, and we make no warranty that a design does not resemble existing work.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • use Tattoo Daddy in violation of applicable laws or regulations;
  • request or attempt to generate sexual content involving minors, or content that is unlawful, hateful, or that infringes someone else's rights;
  • upload a photograph of another person without their agreement;
  • attempt to bypass the generation allowance, the paywall, or the prompt filter;
  • interfere with or disrupt the operation or security of the app;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of Tattoo Daddy, except where permitted by applicable law;
  • use automated tools to access the app in a manner that could impair the service.

Prompts are screened automatically before they reach a model, and a prompt that trips the filter is refused. The AI providers apply their own safety rules on top of ours and may refuse a request for their own reasons. We may suspend or remove accounts where we reasonably believe these Terms are violated or where we are required to do so by law. If you believe someone is misusing Tattoo Daddy, contact us at legal@kernelics.com.

4. AI-Generated Designs, Try-On and Stencils

Everything the app produces is generated by an AI model. It may be inaccurate, may not match what you asked for, and may contain unintended shapes, lettering or anatomy. Check any design carefully before acting on it.

Try-on is a visualisation, not a preview of a real tattoo. It does not account for how ink sits in your skin, your skin tone under pigment, healing, swelling, stretching, scarring, an artist's technique, or how a tattoo will age. A stencil produced by the app is a starting point for a professional, not an instruction for tattooing.

A tattoo is permanent. Decisions about getting one, about placement, and about suitability for your skin or your health are yours to make with a licensed tattoo artist and, where relevant, a medical professional. We give no medical advice and accept no responsibility for the decision to get tattooed or for the result.

Generation runs on fal.ai, our AI supplier. We send your prompt and, where the feature needs one, your picture to fal.ai; fal.ai decides which model runs the request, and where that model is operated by another company, fal.ai arranges that onward routing under its own terms. We do not hold agreements with those model operators and do not control how they handle what they receive — our Privacy Policy says so plainly rather than implying otherwise.

If a provider is unavailable or refuses a request under its own content policy, that is not a fault in the app and we cannot override it. Where a refusal is a content decision on your prompt, the generation fails and is not retried elsewhere; your allowance is returned once a day for this reason, and after that the attempt is charged, because each refused request still costs us a paid model call.

5. Subscriptions, Generations and Top-Ups

Tattoo Daddy is free to browse. Generating designs uses a generation allowance.

  • new accounts receive one free generation. It is a welcome credit, not a monthly allowance: it does not renew, and it is used up as soon as you subscribe or start a free trial, because the plan you start replaces it with that plan's allowance;
  • the weekly plan costs USD 3.99 and includes 15 generations per week;
  • the monthly plan costs USD 14.99 and includes 80 generations per month;
  • both plans unlock the same features, and try-on requires an active paid plan. Where a free trial is offered, the trial includes a smaller allowance and does not unlock try-on; when it converts to a paid plan, that plan's allowance replaces whatever is left of the trial's rather than adding to it.

Tattoo Daddy Pro is not unlimited. Included generations reset at the start of each billing period and do not roll over. If you need more, you can buy a top-up pack of 10, 20, 50 or 100 generations for USD 2.99, 4.99, 10.99 or 19.99 respectively; top-up generations do not expire, and buying one does not change, extend or renew your subscription. One generation is charged per request, and a generation that fails on our side is returned to your balance, up to three returns in any 24 hours. Past that the charge stands, because a request that keeps failing costs us as much as one that succeeds; if you hit the cap through no fault of your own, write to legal@kernelics.com and we will put the generations back by hand. Where a free trial is offered, its terms are shown before you buy.

The price you pay is the one shown in the App Store for your region, which may differ from the amounts above. Subscriptions are purchased through the App Store and renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Payment is charged to your App Store account, and you can manage or cancel a subscription at any time at https://apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.

Purchases and refunds are governed by Apple's rules; we cannot issue App Store refunds ourselves, and you should contact Apple for those. Deleting Tattoo Daddy or deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription — cancel it in your App Store settings.

6. Communications

We send transactional email only, such as password recovery messages. Tattoo Daddy does not send push notifications and does not ask for notification permission. We will send marketing communications only where permitted by law and, where required, with your consent.

7. App Availability and Changes

Tattoo Daddy needs an internet connection and may not work if your connection, device, App Store account, or the third-party services we depend on are unavailable. Generation is queued and processed on our servers, so it takes time and can fail.

We may update, change, pause, or discontinue parts of Tattoo Daddy from time to time, including changing the AI models we use. We try to keep the app reliable, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available, error-free, or compatible with every device or operating-system version.

8. Termination and Account Deletion

You may stop using Tattoo Daddy at any time, and you may delete your account in the app under Profile or by writing to legal@kernelics.com. In summary, deletion removes your designs and the images behind them, your uploaded pictures and try-on images, your briefs, your likes, your generation allowance and its history, your subscription record, your account and sign-in details, and the whole storage area holding your files; a short record of each completed top-up purchase is kept so that a pack cannot be credited twice, and a few other records survive. The full and authoritative list of what is removed and what is kept is in our account deletion notice and in the Retention and Account Deletion section of our Privacy Policy; where this summary and those differ, those govern. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription.

We may suspend or delete your account if you violate these Terms, create risk for us or other users, or if we are required to do so by law.

9. Intellectual Property

Tattoo Daddy, including its software, design, user interface, trademarks, logos, graphics, and other content provided by us, is owned by Kernelics LLP or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The designs in the Explore catalogue are our own curated content, licensed to you for use inside the app and as a starting point for your own designs, not for redistribution or resale.

These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you. Except as expressly permitted by applicable law, you may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, decompile, create derivative works from, or otherwise use any part of Tattoo Daddy without our prior written permission.

10. Liability

Tattoo Daddy is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of data, or losses caused by events outside our reasonable control. This includes any decision you make about getting tattooed, which is subject to section 4.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer law, or limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, except where mandatory laws in your country give you additional rights. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under applicable consumer law.

12. Apple App Store Terms

Because Tattoo Daddy is distributed through the App Store, the following also applies:

  • these Terms are between you and us only, and not with Apple, and we alone are responsible for Tattoo Daddy and its content;
  • Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for Tattoo Daddy;
  • if Tattoo Daddy fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation;
  • we, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim relating to Tattoo Daddy, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to conform to a legal requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection law;
  • we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating and resolving any third-party claim that Tattoo Daddy infringes intellectual property rights;
  • you confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a United States Government embargo or designated as terrorist-supporting, and that you are not listed on any United States Government list of prohibited or restricted parties;
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
